The Brocade Adapter Software Installer is not supported on the VMware  “console” operating system. However, you can use an applicable software  installer from the list under “Installing software (Windows, Linux, and Solaris)” on page 7 to install HCM on a “guest” system.  VMware, drivers, and utilities are provided as ISO images packaged in a  tarball (.tr.gz). Use the following steps for installation.  1. Download the appropriate package (for example,  brocade_driver_esx40_ .tar.gz) using the following steps: a. Go to the Brocade website at www.brocade.com/adapters. b. Navigate to the adapters Downloads page. c. Select VMware from the Download list. d.
